Support
For support workers using the CareOp Worker app, and for providers.
The short version
- Ask your employer first. They create your account, set your roster and approve your hours. Most problems are theirs to fix and they can do it immediately.
- Come to us for the app itself — something broken, something that will not load, or a question about privacy and your data.
- support@careop.com.au
Who to ask
CareOp is software your employer subscribes to. That split decides who can help you, and going to the right one first will nearly always be faster.
- Your provider can
- Create, close or re-invite your account · change your roster · approve, reject or correct a timesheet · fix your pay details · answer anything about a participant, a care plan or a policy · action a request to delete your information.
- We can
- Fix the app when something is genuinely broken · investigate an error you cannot get past · answer questions about how CareOp handles your information · action a data request directly if your provider cannot.
We cannot change a timesheet, a shift or a pay figure. Those are your employer’s records and only they can alter them — which is the point of a system that keeps an audit trail.
Common problems
- I can't sign in
- There is no sign-up in the app. Your employer invites you by email, you accept that invitation on the web, and only then can you sign in here. If you never received an invitation, ask them to send it again.
- The sign-in link never arrived
- Check your junk folder first. Links expire after an hour and must be opened on the same phone you are signing in on. If email is awkward to reach, tap “Use a password instead” on the sign-in screen and use the password you set when you accepted the invitation.
- It says I'm not linked to a worker
- The email you signed in with does not match the one your employer has on your worker record. They can correct it in a moment; we cannot.
- Today is empty
- Either you are not rostered today, or you are signed in to the wrong employer. If you work for more than one organisation using CareOp, switch between them from the Me tab.
- I'm not getting notifications
- Check Me → Notifications in the app. If it says notifications are off for CareOp, your phone is blocking them and the switches there cannot reach you — turn CareOp back on in your phone’s own settings.
- I had no signal on a shift
- Clock on and write your note anyway. It is saved on your phone and syncs when you are back in range, and it records the time you tapped, not the time it synced.
- Why is it asking for my location?
- Only when you clock on or off, start a safety check-in, or send a duress alert — never in the background and never between shifts. If you decline, clocking on still works and your timesheet simply records no coordinates. See the privacy policy.
- I want my data deleted
- Ask your provider first, since they control the records — or see Delete your data to ask us directly.
