Astalty is ahead of us in places that will matter to some providers and we are not going to bury them: they lodge to the NDIA through PRODA where ours is a file you upload, they sync both ways with Xero where ours exports one way, and they have a free plan, 1,400-odd businesses and public reviews where we are new and have none of that. The table below has all of it, including the rows we lose.
A reportable incident opens its clock the moment it is logged, and a scan inside the database moves it along every hour and escalates it when nobody picks it up. Plus a restrictive-practices register carrying each practice's authorisation state and a review date it watches for you. These are properties of the record, not reminders somebody set, and it is the widest gap between the two products.
Medication records, health records and clinical documentation all sit on the participant. Astalty does not carry any of it. If you deliver personal care with medication support, that one line is probably the whole decision and you can stop reading here.
Your casual loading and on-cost gross-up are your own effective-dated numbers, so five specific SCHADS breaches get checked and priced at your rates while the roster is still a draft. One limit worth stating: the overtime multipliers stay at the award's 1.5× and 2×, so an agreement that varies those is not expressible yet.
Your score against the Practice Standards is computed from what the system can see, every time you open it — so it cannot go stale between refreshes. Separately, overnight scans walk your obligations, credentials, documents and risk reviews. Evidence packs assemble on demand, and the auditor portal is read-only and expires on its own.
