CareOp compared with AuditCore

AuditCore and CareOp both help a registered provider get ready for audit, from opposite ends. AuditCore is a compliance product you bring your records to. CareOp is the system the shifts, notes, credentials and incidents happen in, and the audit evidence is built from that. Which suits you depends on whether you want to keep your operations system and add compliance beside it, or run both in one place.

Assessed 2 October 2026 from AuditCore's own home, features, pricing, checklist and about pages, and re-checked 4 October 2026 against their home, features, pricing, about and security pages; the features and pricing pages had changed in between (the free trial is gone, Google Drive and OneDrive connections are new). Their product changes; check anything decisive with them directly.

Where AuditCore is ahead

AuditCore is ahead of us on four things and we would rather say so plainly: they keep a meetings register with AI-drafted agendas and your own Word minutes template, which we do not have; they fill NDIS forms and templates and download them as Word documents, and connect to Google Drive and OneDrive, where we export to neither; they publish one plan with every module in it; and because they charge per participant, adding staff costs nothing. The table below has all of it, including the rows we lose.

Where we are ahead.

One system, not compliance beside another one

AuditCore's eleven modules are all compliance. Rostering, shift notes, timesheets, claiming and payroll are not among them, so a provider using it also pays for and keeps up an operations system, and the two hold the same workers and participants. CareOp is that operations system, with the compliance built in: the $11 plan covers both.

Evidence from the work, not from an upload

AuditCore checks the records you upload or enter into it. Ours checks the records your team creates by working: the shifts that were delivered, the notes written on them, the credentials on file, the incidents reported. Your readiness is worked out from those every time you look, so it is never older than the last shift. Run an internal audit and it records the gaps as findings against the Practice Standards, puts the serious ones into the continuous improvement register with a due date, and gives you the report and the corrective action plan.

An incident alert that comes back if nobody answers

Both of us track the NDIS Commission dates: 24 hours for most reportable incidents, then the five-business-day report. Ours also sends a critical alert to the people who investigate the moment a reportable incident is logged, sends it again if nobody acknowledges it within fifteen minutes, and then brings in the organisation's owners. AuditCore's pages describe the dates; they do not describe an escalation.

What happens on the shift, on the record

Medication records, a restrictive-practices register with every use recorded and each month's Commission report prepared and tracked until it is lodged, a SCHADS award engine that prices five specific breaches while the roster is still a draft, and a worker app that works with no signal. These sit with the person and the shift they happened on, which is where an auditor follows them back to.

The whole table, losses included.

The rows we lose are in here too. If they were not, you would be right not to believe the rows we win.

What is not in that table, and why

AuditCore's public pages do not describe how their internal audit reaches records it has not been given, whether their incident tracking escalates, or what their AI does with participant data beyond reading it. We have not marked any of those against them. A demonstration will answer them better than either website.

So which one should you pick?

Go with AuditCore if…

you are happy with your rostering and claiming system and want compliance added beside it, if a meetings register with Word minutes is what your governance is missing, or if you want every policy and form in Word and in Google Drive or OneDrive.

Go with us if…

you would rather run the shifts and the compliance in one system than keep two in step, if you want the audit evidence to come from the work your team already does, or if medications, restrictive practices and the award are on every shift and you want them on the same record.

The others.

Or stop reading comparisons and just look at it.
